My First Access Bars® session
I experienced my first Access Bars session in Dublin, Ireland in January 2015. I didn't really know what to expect, but anyways, the therapist gently put his fingers on 32 points on my head (called 'bars') and held them in sequence for around an hour or so.
Each bar has it's own name, like 'hope & dreams,' 'money,' 'aging toaster' etc. These names intrigued me and I wanted to know why the bars had these names. The therapist explained that we store our points of view/judgments about , for example, money in the area of the brain where the 'money' bar is located. These points of view are stored as an electromagnetic charge. So all the considerations you have about money like having it, not having it, being willing to have it, not willing to have it and every point of view you've ever taken about money are stored there. When the 'money' bar is held it starts to dissipate the electrical charge of polarity as it is stored in your brain. This process helps to unlock you from the limitation and conditioning of your thoughts and emotions in different areas of your life. You can now start to look at money from a place of infinite choice and possibility instead of limited choice and possibility.
During the session I felt that I was entering a deep meditative state....effortlessly ! Of course, this is how it's supposed to be in formal sitting meditation but most of us end up trying way too hard most of the time. It was a great relief to be able to enter that meditative state with such ease and naturalness. My whole head felt deeply relaxed, and this feeling of deep relaxation spread throughout the rest of my body. All I really needed to do was just lie there on the massage plinth and receive the session. I noticed that if I just let go and enjoyed the experience then the meditative state would deepen even more.
After the session I continued to feel relaxed for another 3 or 4 days. You need to get your bars run more than once, same as you need to meditate more than once to have longer lasting effects. It could be costly to keep getting your bars run regularly, but you could always take a 1 day seminar to learn how to do it, show a friend how to run the bars and then run each other's bars.
I also felt that the stressors we encounter in daily life didn't bother me nearly so much after the bars session. It was a great feeling to just 'ride the waves.' You start to open up to a whole new reality, one you'd read about in books on meditation but had struggled to experience in your daily life.
